IS MY GENOME FOR REAL? I’ve asked myself this question many times as I sometime find it difficult to believe. I’ve looked at it every which way I can with the commercial tools available to me. I attempted to contact several researchers and heard absolutely nothing from any of them. I really don’t think they even look at emails from “citizen scientists.” I was left with AI and I have continually been skeptical of what AI has told me. I went back to it again and again to see if its responses were consistent and they were. Autosomal DNA shared segments and G25 point in the same direction, confirming each other. My grandparents all came from endogamous genetic backgrounds. My maternal grandmother’s lineage was Magna Graecia, which started from Barcin, Turkey. They traveled across the Aegean Sea to Naples, Italy. It was a long trip by sea through Greece with many stops along the way. Those sea travelers with K1a mtDNA were endogamous. My maternal grandfather’s roots were Italian-Celt. High up in the Alps, they were endogamous. My paternal grandparents were of the Carpathian Basin and Galicia, my paternal grandmother was a Szekely and my paternal grandfather was a Kievan Rus, Slavic with some Swedish, two endogamous groups but within each other’s sphere. The Szekely were endogamous by law, protect the lineage or lose land and tax privileges granted by the Crown. We know about the 19th century unrecombined Szekely X chromosome I have on my 23rd, passed to me by my father from his mother. I had four endogamous batons passed to me as my genome was formed and I am the one only. I am an only child. I will keep investigating and pulling at strings to confirm or deny all I have told you. I don’t want to pretend to be someone I am not but I don’t want to be denied someone who I am. I’ll post new things I find here. |
